UPDATE: Season is now over until next summer

Cherry season is underway! It’s wonderful to see beautiful quality cherries coming out of the orchard.

After last year’s wet harvest and the wet spring it’s a huge relief to see the cherries coming off well!   The cold weather is slowing them down but each variety has been gradually ripening.   This morning we even picked in a frost – that’s a first … such strange weather.

Our big Samba cherries had more fruit than we first thought and were very popular with visitors who were able to pick this premium grade fruit.  We’re now on the old favourite  Rons cherries and vans.

Simone variety will start in the next day or two.

We are now picking daily for boxed sales and delivery runs.
